ENGLISH IS A STUPID LANGUAGE???

have u ever heard that people said ENGLISH IS A STUPID LANGUAGE??
let's prove it in this poem...

Let's face it, English is a stupid language.
There is no egg in the eggplant.
No ham in the hamburger.
And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple.
English muffins were not invented in England.
And French fries were not invented in France.

We sometimes take English for granted.
But if we examine its paradoxes we find that
Quicksand takes you down slowly,
Boxing rings are square
And a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

If writers write, how come fingers don't fing?
If the plural of tooth is teeth,
Shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beeth?
If the teacher taught,
Why didn't the preacher praught?

If a vegetarian eats vegetables,
What the heck does a humanitarian eat?
Why do people recite at a play,
Yet play at a recital?
Park on driveways and
Drive on parkways?
How can the weather be as hot as hell on one day
And as cold as hell on another?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy
Of a language where a house can burn up as
It burns down.
And in which you fill in a form,
By filling it out.
And a bell is only heard once it goes!

English was invented by people, not computers.
And it reflects the creativity of the human race.
(Which of course isn't a race at all)

That is why,
When the stars are out, they are visible
But when the lights are out, they are invisible
And it's why when I wind up my watch,
It starts.
But when I wind up this poem,
It ends.

well....you saw it...and now...think about it...

i'm not saying that english is that STUPID...
but it is just for thinking...

we can't say that because I am an indian and i can't speak tamil at all, only a little so i speak to my friends in English and my mother is my an English teacher in my school.Some pupils are teaching me to talk tamil and my mother send me to tamil class at my school and it is free.I get to learn a little bit of tamil. I also can't read,talk tamil but i do understand a little only.

thank you. i always speak in English- 24 hour's aday and my nick name in school is LOPEK AND MULUT SIKIT. i feel very angry went they call me that.The person who started to call me that is Yoha than the whole year 6 w,p,and s.I was very angry at him at that time.

We cannot hate any langguage because langguage is important. Without langguage, we do not know how to communicate. Even if you have billions of handphones and computers but if you do not have langguage then whats the point of having handphones and computers to mess up your house? Remember, do not insult any langguage because langguage is beautiful and we surely need them.

Yes. Nowdays, travellers from around the world come to Malaysia. What if you work at the market and sell vegetables. And this traveller is a vegetarian. She or he wants to buy your vegetables. The traveller doesn't know how to speak malay. You will need English that time.

brenda nowdays those traveliers out ther can talk malay because they dont want us to confius them with telling some thing ells

they sometime bring dictionary with them... but still english is very important...

Many peoples said that English is stupid language. So I m planning to learn spanish malaga and I think Spanish is good and interesting language.
