Gambar pertama diterbitkan dalam buku Ramusio di Italia pada tahun 1604. Gambar dan keterangan ini tentang buah naga adalah yang paling lama, pertamah di dunia barat.

Thank you Cikgu X, I give you permission to copy any pictures from my site for the purpose of putting them on maribelajar as long as credit is given. After all we are on the Internet to share and to educate.

For you rajboy,
As far as I know (which is very little) the first depiction of durian fruits are in stone on the panels of Borobudur,Central Java done by Indians about 790 A.D..
The first engraving published in the West is probably the one in the book of Cristobal Acosta, published in 1578.
I will put up both on my blog tomorrow for you.

Actually the first dragonfruit illustration in Ramusio which was published by him in 1606 is based on a drawing from the 1590's. Do not forget that he was only a compiler of other peoples' records.
