The most important thing to get a high marks in summary writing is to write with your own sentences without changing the original meaning. However, there other things you need to consider:
1. Really understand the question's need. Eg. Write a summary on road safety campaign, you need to focus on the road safety campaign only and not the examples given.
2. Left out unnecessary examples given or group the examples into category. Eg fork, spoon = cutlery
3. Use connectors to enhance or to connect sentences.
4. Usually the main point in in each paragraph
4. Do not exceed the maximum requirement
hope this will help to write a good summary..

i wanted to add some. the words limit in summary writing is 65 words and minimum is 55 words. that is the format. that is for PMR. as for SPM, minimum is 125 words and maximum is 135 words.

to get good grammar is through doing more grammar exercise. there's a book sell for student to build up their grammar

Just want to add:
Word Limit for PMR
60 words maximum. Points exceeding the word limit will not be given marks.
Please take note that you are writing 60 words including the 10 words given, so you are writing 50 words.
If you wish not to include the 10 words given you can do so but your first word will be counted as the 11th word. Still you are writing 50 words.
I hope PMR students are aware of the strict rule for the word limit.
